Mattress Cleaning Tips

Master the Art of your Mattress clean with Our Mattress Cleaning Tips

Cleaning your mattress might be a task that you overlook, but incorporating it into your routine can hugely benefit your health and sleep quality. Imagine the volume of dust mites, dead skin cells, and sweat your mattress could be collecting! This is why we've compiled these expert mattress cleaning tips for you.

A common technique is vacuuming your mattress regularly. This helps remove dust mites and other allergens which can cause severe health problems if left unclean. Always ensure you're using a clean upholstery attachment to avoid introducing new dirt.

Another mattress cleaning tip is to spot-clean stains immediately with a mild cleaner to prevent them from setting. A mix of water and dish soap or vinegar can be effective for this. Furthermore, baking soda is a fantastic natural deodorizer. Sprinkle it on your mattress, let it sit for several hours, then vacuum it off for a refreshed mattress.

Turning and flipping the mattress every six months is also essential to ensure even use and prevent body impressions. With these mattress cleaning tips, you can ensure a healthier and more comfortable sleep environment.

For zip-on mattress tops and mattress sidewall (exterior):

For spot removal, use a sponge with mild, soapy, warm water.  Do not use cleaning solvents, commercial cleaners or over saturate.  Remove solution with a clean, damp, soft cloth. For a deeper clean, you may use a cleaner such as "resolve", or an upholstry cleaning system such as a "Spot Bot". We do not recomment using a washing machine and/or dryer, as the covers tend to absord most of the water, making it diffucult to handle, and dryers can cause burning or melting of the materials.

This product has been manufactured with fire retardant materials.  Professional dry-cleaning may reduce the fire retardant qualities of this product, but it is an acceptable means of cleaning the cover

For zip-on designer stretch covers:

Use mild soap, machine wash, gentle cycle, not to exceed 140 degrees Fahrenheit. No bleach. Tumble dry low.  Iron low temp if needed. Can be dry-cleaned, no trichloroethylene.
